Did you just buy a new Mio and want to update the maps? You basically have three choices:
- Use the free update feature. Must register with Mio within 30 days of purchase or first use of product.
- Hack the machine
- Call Mio if all else fails (See number below)
Hacking Mio Instructions

1. Call Mio – 1-866-646-4477. Choose the pre-sales support option.
2. Explain that you recently purchased a Mio gps and were disappointed to learn that the maps on your NEW gps were old.
3. The rep will ask for for your info and send you a DVD.
