Garmin have just announced the release of the new Nuvi 260 that joins their popular Nuvi series. The Garmin Nuvi 260 is a sleek, simple to use and value priced gps system that has many popular Nuvi features including:
- Calls out street names
- Built in picture viewer
- Calculator
- Currency converter
- Unit converter
- World clock
- Preloaded detailed maps of the US, Canada and Puerto Rico with 6 million points of interest
“Many potential PND customers want an entry-level Garmin PND, and many
realize the convenience and utility of a device that speaks an upcoming
street name. The nuvi 260 is for them,” said Dan Bartel, Garmin’s vice
president of worldwide sales. “The nuvi 200-series has established itself
as the gold standard for simple yet solid navigation, and the nuvi 260 only
reinforces that.”
The Nuvi 260 will have a MSRP of $499 and will be available to consumers around the end of August. Contents of the package will include:
- Vehicle Suction cup mount
- Power cable
- Dashboard disk
- Reference manual
